Silence Space Project, 25th September 2019, Eberswalde, Germany

Our bodies are the access and the means of communication to the world. Butoh dance is without solid form. It tries to dance the human being with its shadow as well as light aspects. The dance serves as a valve in times of emotional political debates, identification of human beings as the trigger of climate change and during the great insecurity coming along with all of it. For the opening of the Silence Space at the University HNEE on the 25th of September, five Butoh dancers held a silent performance, showing the intrinsic entanglement of human beings and nature.

“Thank you for this wonderful performance and showing how we can integrate our shadows and moving on from there.”
